About your therapist
Hello and welcome! Iām Summer, LPC-Associate.
Taking the first step toward therapy requires immense courage. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, feeling weighed down by harmful beliefs, or simply trying to make sense of your story, I am here to walk alongside you. At Golden Hope Therapy, my mission is simple: inspiring hope and cultivating healing in a safe, collaborative space.
My path to becoming a counselor was unique. Before diving into psychology, I spent years studying music, biomedical sciences, and anatomy. This blend of art and science allows me to view mental health through a truly holistic lens. I understand both the deeply creative side of the human experience and the intricate, physiological ways that stress, trauma, and unhelpful beliefs manifest in the body and mind.
I am a proud Texas State University alumna (go Bobcats!), where I earned my professional counseling degree. After my time in San Marcos, I couldn't wait to return home to Cowtown. Outside of sessions, my favorite ways to recharge are spending quality time out with my family and friends, catching a game to root for the Oklahoma Sooners or Dallas Cowboys, or winding down on the couch snuggling my cat.
As an LPC-Associate, I work dynamically with adults to untangle complex life events and rewrite the harmful narratives that keep them stuck. I practice under the clinical supervision of Penny Haight, LPC-S, ensuring you receive the highest standard of thoughtful, evidence-based care.
Healing is a collaborative process, and I would be honored to partner with you on yours. Let's take that next step together.
